A lot of people from all over the world have been giving their own version of who is ISIS mainly to satisfy their own personal or political view on the world crises that ISIS has created. It was for sure something that could have been prevented, but allowed by the world elite and powerful establishment from the West to the East to happen. Mainly without chaos, there is no credible reason for governments to take away the rights of the individual and allow military corporations and corrupt leaders across the world to profit from the bloodshed.
This does not in any way mean to support any sort of conspiracy theories that claim that USA or Israel created ISIS. The corrupt political establishment of these countries, including the Arab countries in the Middle East are all share blame for it, in their own way. However, this does not explain who ISIS really is or how they could grow so fast, get military weapons and funds to take on a well-equipped military such as the Syrian government’s army.
To understand this, we need to go back to the chaos that the Arab Spring had created in the Middle East and the complete failure of the Bush and Obama governments to do anything good for the world. Instead of making the world a safer place to live, these administrations have what Donald Trump rightfully implied, made the world a more dangerous place to live. Maybe 100 times more.
The Middle East as we know has loads of dictators, all kinds of them. A few good ones and a whole lot of bad ones. But dictators, just like the corrupt establishment we have in the West can’t really force us to be evil. But they can light a fire on the hatred people have for one another if they already knew where to look for it. Let’s pause here to mention a few facts below.
The United States and Britain’s corrupt establishment (governments) had for all these years protected countries like Saudi Arabia, UAE, Israel, and others against thousands of human rights violations in return for good business relations with Western corporations that powerful politicians have indirect relations with. Just one example of the many would be Dick Cheney, who profited immensely from the Iraq War through his indirect affiliations with military equipment manufacturers in the US that were given contracts to supply the US military for the war.
Another important thing to remember through all this is that the Muslims in the Middle East is split mainly into two types (or sects) of Islam. One is called Sunni Muslims and the other is called Shia Muslims. They have had long feuds of hatred dating back to a thousand years now and that hatred exist very much today mainly in the Middle East, even though this hatred has been exported by countries like Saudi Arabia to some Asian and African countries. You can think of this hatred as pure bigotry that the US had before and still must some extend between Whites and Blacks. In the case of the Middle Eastern Muslims, you can consider the Sunni Arabs as the whites. Even though most the Sunni Arab Muslims are peaceful individuals, they have grown up learning to hate Shia Muslims completely in all ways possible from their parents and their grandparents. This hatred has nothing to do with Islam as a religion since clearly Islam’s Prophet, Muhammad had said many times that anger and hatred are from the devil. However, cultural and racial history in the Middle East between the Persians and the Arabs has continued and various religious leaders from countries like Saudi Arabia has always promoted this bigotry in its foreign policy and education system. Allowing ordinary people to feel it is completely okay to be racist and a bigot against a whole race of people, for whatever reason they have. Sounds very like the mental understanding that the KKK and Hitler’s supporters had before everything went out of control.
Having said that, let’s go back to the Middle Eastern dictators that the US supported so much, even though they were openly known as dictators. So, when the Arab Spring started, it started in Tunisia, then spilled over to Libya, Egypt and it looked like a fire that was not going to stop. Now here is the wonderful little detail that all the Western military generals, political figures and Muslim leaders around the world do not mention. They all knowingly, leave out the fact that all these nations that people were revolting against their corrupt dictators were all Sunni-Muslim dictators who were pretty much killing off all their domestic political opponents in their countries. Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International and others all voiced concerns, statements and even public condemnations. But of course, the establishment media would not report them, to not get the White House and even the owners of the largest US and British Media outlets upset. They all have very well established business ties with all these corrupt leaders in the Middle East.
As the Sunni Arab leaders were caught by surprise, as we all their allies, the countries which saw the most threat out of the Arab Spring was not the US, UK, and Israel. Instead, it was countries like Saudi Arabia and others where there was no such thing as a government accountable to the people. All of them did not even hold elections to choose who leads their countries. Instead, it is passed down from father to son, and so on. Countries that did welcome the Arab Spring were countries like Iran and Turkey mostly, with some exception to Qatar that was more open to transparency and fairness in governance than all its other rich Gulf neighbours. What Saudi Arabia’s monarchy decided was they would not accept the Arab Spring threatening the rule of the Monarchy and anyone that questioned it would be labeled a terrorist. We all know what happens most likely from that point. They do not need secret prisons since they know pretty well that the US, UK and most of Europe would not question their human rights abuses that would jeopardize business relations between the countries. Recently in 2016, Saudi Arabia has purchased more military weapons from the US and UK compared to all the years before that. For the rich establishment politicians, it is big business, big profit before human rights.
Saudi Arabia met most of the GCC countries and led plans to squash the Arab Spring starting with destroying Egypt’s first ever transparently elected government. Also, instead of this anger by ordinary people spreading across Sunni Muslim countries in the Middle East, the Saudi monarchy made what they saw as their best option yet. They wanted to not only stop the Arab Spring from reaching their doorstep, they also wanted to shift it against their enemies in the region. No, it’s not Israel as some conspiracy theorists love to assume without actual factual data. The Saudi monarchy and its fellow Sunni Muslim dictator’s arch enemies were Iran and Syria. The main reason for this was simply because they were led by Shia Muslims or Shia Muslim related groups. Remember that old cultural and racial hatred that lingered across generations. This hatred was about to blow out into the world because of their next move. Saudi monarchy asked its biggest military ally, the US to help it to go against Syria and Iran. They started to send money and weapons to dissidents in Syria who were against the Syrian dictator Bashar Al-Assad who was a Shia Muslim. The dissidents were of course without a doubt Sunni Muslims. Then prominent Saudi and other Arab scholars who also had this racism inside their hearts for all these years, they started to openly preach the hate against the Assad regime, just because they were Shia Muslims. With the emphasis on how the Shia Muslims are killing Sunnis left and right, even though it was not true. The Sunni dictators in Tunisia and Egypt all killed innocent civilians, be it Sunni, Shia, and Christians. But in countries like Bahrain, the police killed and silenced Shia protestors asking for equal rights under the law from the Sunni monarchy. Saudi Arabia even sent it their army in full force to help Bahrain to kill and arrest peaceful activists by any means necessary. The worst part about this was that majority of the Arab Sunni Muslims that were so against Hosni Mubarak of Egypt and Ben Ali of Tunisia, they all stayed silent without supporting the same call for rights by Shia Muslims in Bahrain. Why the complete and disgraceful silence? Again, it’s simply because the ones asking for rights in Bahrain were not Sunni Muslims. Al Jazeera news media was one of the only media outlets to report on this before they too had to cut down on reporting on this due to considerable external pressure on it. This event alone showed to the educated mind that understands this subject in depth, how much racism there truly was in the Middle East. Something many would overwhelmingly deny and if challenged directly, they would go on the defensive accusing others of sins and crimes.
So, with all the propaganda backed by Saudi Arabia and its allies, and all the cash and weapons that were being sent to the Syrian opposition, they came up with a new idea. An idea where they saw something in common with all these terrorist groups like Al Qaeda affiliates in the region, including Syria and Iraq. These terrorist groups and countries like Saudi Arabia are all Sunni Muslims. The terrorists have a majority that also hates Shia Muslims just as much as the Sunni Arab dictators. Hence the side plan to fund these terrorist groups started covertly. It was like seeing small political parties being bought over by big rich and corrupt donors. They knew that these terrorist groups would love nothing more than to have a racist motivated fight like this. They claim to be as Islamic as the Sunni dictators claim, but they both were more than willing to leave their religion behind to commit mass murder whenever it filled their self-interest. Soon different Gulf countries, as well as rich individuals from Saudi Arabia, were laundering money to terrorist groups with the knowledge of the US government. This is proven by WikiLeaks email releases from Hillary Clinton where she stated she knew this fact and was troubled by this.
When the Syrian opposition started its so-called peaceful resistance to the Assad regime, they publicized it as a fight for all Syrians and not a sectarian or racist civil war. Again, anyone with actual knowledge and understanding of the situation in the Middle East in depth, would have clearly noticed the representatives for the US and UK backed Free Syrian Army (opposition rebels at the time), were very outspoken against Iran and Syrian government mainly due to the type of Muslim they were. They would never criticize Saudi Arabia and Sunni dictators. Later as the events in Syria started unfolding minute by minute, some news media such as Al Jazeera could not help question the authenticity of the Free Syrian Army that this was not a sectarian war by Sunni Muslims against the Shia population of Syria. As usual, they kept denying it until it was too obvious for even the world news outlets to not call it a sectarian civil war. As the war became more and more bloody, the US and UK governments promised to protect Saudi Arabia and its regional Sunni dictators from any questions and investigations from the United Nations and other agencies. In the meantime, Sunni Muslim Arab scholars from across the Arab world started to call for an all-out war against Shia Muslims in Syria. Many of these calls to war could be seen online in Arabic videos and articles and some in English. It was the Sunni Arabic scholars that had the most effect because they have a big following in the Middle East and some influence across the world to mainly Arabic-speaking Sunni Muslims. It was the same type of call that during the Christian Crusades the Church did by calling its followers to join the Crusades and if they killed Muslims, their sins would be forgiven. The same type of hate-filled rhetoric and bigotry was now being given by a big number of Sunni-Muslim scholars against a blanket Shia population in Syria. Imagine the war crimes that would happen next when people with religious and political authority are both calling and promoting this type of racist and sectarian war.
This type of sectarian war was already ongoing and confined to Iraq only before Saudi Arabia went ahead with their plan. Iraq war was in fact what paved the way to KKK type of similar groups like ISIS, Al Nusra Front and others we have today in the Middle East and across the world. Ex-President Jorge Bush has surely made the world safer today compared to any crazy end of the day zombie apocalypse game he played alone in his time as the US president.
Soon after all the religious calls to war against the Syrian government and its Shia supporters, Sunni-Muslims with the same racist and sectarian hatred in their hearts from across the world poured into Syria on the claim that they wanted to help fight a ruthless dictator. The craziest part of all this was that they never realized that most educated Sunni Muslims in Asia, Africa and other regions of the world would actually stop to think and ask why are these same people not going after the Saudi Arabian and other dictators. Why are they only targeting one dictator over another? What’s the difference between Assad as a dictator compared to the Saudi king? They both kill off their opponents with ridiculous claims. They both arrest anyone that is critical of their rule. Make a tweet and your arrested the next day or on the same day if you’re lucky. The only difference here is that one dictator is a Sunni ruthless dictator and the other ruthless dictator is from the Shia Muslim side. Hence there was a clear double standard by the Sunni Muslims that were supporting the Syrian opposition and keeping silent against their own dictators. This is a hypocrisy that in Islam is not accepted. Islam teaches to speak the truth and act on truth. Islam does not teach to act based on one’s hatred, anger, and worldly emotions. These are all clearly not a part of Islam, yet because of the scholars misguiding their followers and filling their hearts with sectarian filled propaganda. So many good Muslims fell for this trap. This is the reason why so many fell for this. When they were educated by people who studied the Salafi teachings of Sunni-Muslims which Saudi Arabia follows, the sectarian propaganda was thought from the scholar’s personal views. When scholars have so much respect within the Muslim communities, their personal opinions can sometimes be taken as a part of Islamic teachings to those that study under them. Hence when the students go back to Asia, Africa, and Western countries, many of them have small bits of this sectarian racism inside them, even if they do not realize it at first. Racists do not really understand that their views can be considered as racism until someone directly points it out to them. In the Middle East, ordinary people are not really educated on things like racism and bigotry. They are always educated on events like Hitler’s rise and the Christian Crusades as something that the other person did, they, those people. It was never about if as Arabs, do we have racism in us too. If so, what type of racism do we have in our own communities and how do we address them and so on.
With things already gone out of control. The Assad regime kept stating to the world and the Western governments that the rebels that they are funding and arming are all terrorists that one day would also go against America. The Russian government stated this multiple times in the United Nations Security Council meetings as well. However, all this fell on deaf ears because the Western countries were backing their regional ally Saudi Arabia who was surprised of how far the Obama administration was going to go to support them in Syrian.
Obama authorized over $500 million to the so-called moderate opposition Free Syrian Army, of which only a few million was later accountable for. Also, all the weapons sent to them later turned out in the hands of groups like Al Nusra Front. Soon over 90% of those in the Free Syrian Army left it and joined terrorist groups like Al Nusra Front and others. Something that the Russian government had warned from the start of the Syrian conflict. It looked like the US military did not know who they could trust in the Syrian opposition, but orders from the White House was to still back these groups to support Saudi Arabia’s foreign policy against the Syrian government. The Saudi monarchy and its allies did everything they could to try and force Nato to attack the Syrian regime and support the Free Syrian Army. But someone in the military must have made that logical and educated choice to not trust the Saudi that easily, and put American people’s lives before the agenda of this crazy sectarian civil war led by the Saudi monarchy.
So Who Is ISIS ?
All this lawlessness created a huge power vacuum in Syria, which allowed the extreme right of all these Sunni sectarian groups to use something that in Islam no group should try to call out for in such a hate driven war. These groups were already now fighting each other like warlords, killing and assassinating each other for power and influence. Hence one of these groups knew that if they were to call for an Islamic Khalifah, they would automatically boost their popularity across the Muslim world because, in the Muslim world, Khalifah is a good thing. Just as the Ottoman Empire which was the Golden Age of Islam where science, astronomy, surgery tools and other inventions flourished across the Muslim world. So Khilafah represents positive and good future for Muslims, which today’s Syria is absolutely not. However, for those that support the ideology of groups led by sectarian racism, they quickly jumped on the first train that came their way. This is how ISIS was born. This method allowed ISIS to drain manpower and weapons from nearly every other group that was fighting the Assad regime in Syria.
Some news media like Al Jazeera, BBC and CNN has all tried to give a positive spin to the Syrian opposition groups like Al Nusra Front to distance them from ISIS. Their intention was to give the world population, especially the American public the perception that the Syrian opposition rebel groups were moderate and good people (which includes groups like Al Nusra Front and other terrorist groups). However, they were struggling to do this as the Russian-English news channel RT (Russia Today) was countering all these false propagandas to whitewash the crimes of the Syrian opposition and to hide their terrorist roots. When all this failed, guess what, the group Al Nusra Front went on to change their name to something else, even though I prefer to still call them what they truly are and always will be, Al Nusra Front. Even Al Jazeera had requested all its staff to not mention Al Nusra Front as a terrorist group, instead refer to them as among the rebel groups in Syria.
Many Arab Sunni Muslims do not know or hide the fact that nearly half of the Muslims in the Assad’s army were Sunni-Muslims that even after all the years has passed, they stayed loyal to Assad regime. The main reason for this was that they did not follow the Saudi Arabian style of strict Salafi teachings of Islam.
Something we all must realize from all the above is that we as human beings can do a lot of evil if we follow our own human feelings of hate towards others. We can see this nearly in every country, even our own. We see the racism in all types of people towards one another. This racism is not addressed properly in our communities and majority of the world communities. When it is not addressed in the right ways, it allows hatred to build slowly underneath our communities. Then all it takes is a few things going wrong and one or two big events to trigger an out of control fight, riot, killing, mass shooting, planned murders, war crimes and finally genocide.
In reality, no religion preaches this type of hatred. Islam, Christianity, and Judaism are all peaceful religions. All of them come from the same source and has the same God if we study the origin text of the old centuries. They all preaches love for thy neighbour, forgiveness and to restrain from mischief in this life. Islam specifically teaches on how every man and women is responsible and judged for his or her own sin. In Islam, every individual human being has a direct connection with their Creator. This goes for Muslims and non-Muslims, as the Creator loves all His creation. Islam also forbids any killing of women, children and elderly. You can even go to hell-fire for mistreating your pet or any other animal, including cutting down a tree without having an actual purpose for it. A foul word is a sin, backbiting is a sin, lying is a sin, being rude is a sin.
If you ever talk to anyone that supported the ideology of ISIS, you will find that many of the backbite and openly curses Shia Muslims when they talk about them to other Sunni-Muslims in private. Remember there are different types of levels of support for ISIS within the Sunni Muslim community. Their main support comes from Arab Sunni Muslims, while a small percentage comes from USA, Europe, Asia and the rest of the world. Other than these hardcore supporters that are willing to take part in terrorist activities in support for ISIS, there are those that supports the cause but would never actually go and find. Then there are also those that sympathizes with them in regards to their sectarian racism, but they do not support the killing of civilians. Then there are those that dislikes some Shia Muslims, but not all. Then there are those that are very religious Sunni Muslims, but they absolutely hate groups like ISIS, Al Nusra Front and others because of the evil they have brought to this world misusing Islam for their criminal activities that have made millions of innocent Muslims become refugees. The majority of the Sunni Muslims today in this world, especially from non-Middle Eastern background supports the refugees more than they support any of these groups.
A good Muslim hates those that destroys the good name of Islam, by using Islam to falsely kill innocent Muslims, Christians, and others. When in fact, the only reason these terrorists, groups kill others is because of their failure to be patient, kind and loving to others. Groups like ISIS and Al Nusra Front are a shame to the Muslim world, just as the corrupt establishment politics of Western countries who supports Middle Eastern dictators are a shame to this world.
One thing good that came out of Trump’s win is that he cannot be bought over by Saudi Arabia and others. However, we all know how powerful and rich the establishment is. Of course, his Presidency is not going to be perfect since some of the people he has chosen to be close to him has direct or indirect links to the corrupt establishment politics that has destroyed the US economy and created this false war on Islam and ended up allowing groups like ISIS to have the space, money, and weapons needed to be who they are today. Many of these facts are not something that the average American, French, Australian and other Europeans would know. We urge everyone to do their own research from multiple sources that are not affiliated with one another. Try to not look for news from CNN, Fox News, Al Jazeera and BBC. Also, the next time you see a Muslim, try to not assume they are a terrorist or supporter of ISIS, because this is what the corrupt establishment has promoted from the time of Jorge Bush. They have created fear so that good Muslims who hates ISIS would not feel they are valued part of the multi-cultural communities in the US and Europe. Remember there are haters on all sides, including the US, France, UK, Australia and others. These haters on all sides want fear and war because they have no moral values to their low life.
